Warning – These New Standards Will Not Be Safe!
The provincial government has too many pieces of legislation and, after reading through a lot of it, I have been left to wonder if they are investing enough resources into making sure they are properly cross-referenced for conflicts or loop-holes which would prevent them from fulfilling their original mandate.

If you were to ask people that question, I suspect most would say that accessibility
is about making sure something – in our context, a web site or web
application – that works for those who are physically disabled. Maybe they’re
blind or maybe they’re a quadriplegic and unable to use a keyboard or mouse
in the traditional sense.
The
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005
uses the same definition of “disability” as the
Ontario Human Rights Code:
Portable Document Format (PDF) accessibility is not a new topic, it is
well understood and explained (http://alistapart.com/articles/pdf_accessibility)
by certain experts.
However, the implications are universally unknown by organisations.
