People with disabilities shouldnt be overlooked in the workforce; in fact, theyre often top performers on the job.

Just ask Sean Callaghan, general manager at Sodexo, a food services company in Brampton.

He hired Sean, who lives on the autism spectrum, and discovered the contribution he made to the workforce is immeasurable.


Updated Accessibility Standards Coming to City of Burlington Facilities

Burlington city council received the new accessibility design standards at a recent meeting.

“The City of Burlington is continuing to make sure that people of all ages and abilities enjoy the same opportunities and access as they live, work, play, visit and invest in our city,” said Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring.

The City of London may change the longstanding way residents could qualify for discounted bus passes.

A new report headed to the Community and Protective Services Committee next week suggests the discounts should be based on financial need, and those adults who receive it would be living below the “low income cut-off measure.”
